It is organized by topic, including groups of links to math games, lesson plans, math subjects, and discussion forums. It also contains a link to math related articles and the state standards. This is the home website for Dr. Math, a well known resource for teachers. There is a link on this page to Dr. Math as well as the other things provided by Math Forum. However, this page also is a great resource page by itself. It has links to help you in the classroom, such as lesson plans and activities, or with your career. Hot Chalk is a website that has resources for students, teachers, and parents. It has a free membership that gives access to all its resources by topic. It has blogs and online articles written by other teachers/professionals, math related video clips, and other tools and links. This page only has links to other web pages, bu tit has a lot of them. They are devided by category which makes the site easy to maneuver around. the categories include lesson plans, software, topics, and other math education related pages. NLVM: The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives This site contains animated activities to assist in math learning from the basics of counting up to college level mathematics. THey are arranged by age level and topic and is searchable. This is a website done by NASA containing lesson plans based off of real life situations in which math or science are used. Though many of them deal more with science topics they could be used in classes to help students with critical thinking and applied mathematics. |
