Pascal's Triangle
Have you ever felt like the boy in this comic strip and wondered how many total gifts were given in the 12 Days of Christmas song (Burke, 2015)? You might have even labored diligently for hours calculating sums as the song went on. However, there is a much easier way to calculate the answer using Pascal's triangle. Christmas songs are not the only application of Pascal's triangle, but rather it can be used to help solve many questions and simplify many mathematical processes.
