Math Applets
- Pythagoras Theorem
One of a few applets that let you take the area of two squares and place it into the third, proving the Pythagorean Theorem.
- Tidal Waves
This applet explores the changes that take place as you change things like altitude, period, etc, of the cosine function.
- Distance From a Point to a Straight Line
For students who strugle understanding how to find the distance between a line and a point, this applet will help them visualize this process.
- Hummer's Mind Reader
Math isn't always about formulas and computations; it can be fun too! This "trick" uses mathematics to read people's minds.
- Spinner
This is an online spinner. With this you can study the probability of events and it automatically records your results.

GeoGebra Worksheets
- Will It Hit the Hoop?
A worksheet that allows students to explore how changing a, h, and k in the standard form of a quadratic changes the shape of its graph as they try to fit a specific model. This is an interesting way of intorducing transformations, max and min values, or finding vertices of parabolas and has a real life application.
- Mixture Problems with Ratios
This worksheet gives a visualization of mixture problems. This is a type of problem commonly is a struggle for students to understand and this worksheet gives and interesting way to look at and solve these types of problems.
- Distance Formula
A worksheet that allows students to see how moving two points around changes the distance between them, exploring the distance formula. I found this worksheet interesting because it helps making a difficult calculation and allows the student time to really explore the concept.
- Unit Circle and Sine Graph
This worksheet allows students to explore and link the relationship of the unit circle and the sine graph. It wasn't until I learned about polar coordinates that this relationship made sense. Now, it can be explained and demonstrated to students a lot sooner.
- Cannonball
A unique way for students to explore velocity and angle trajectories. Perhaps not entirely applicable as a teaching tool, but a fun way to use what you have learned.
