Five Specific Applets:

Applet Description
Monty Hall In this applet you can open doors to discover if there's a goat or a car behind them. It's used to talk about the Monty Hall Problem.
Random Babies This applet explores the chances of a baby going home with the correct mother just by accident.
Guessing The P-Value You can try guessing the p-value for a set of data.
Guess the Correlation You can try guessing the correlation for a set of data.
Random Number Generator Lastly, we've got the classic number generator. You can decide the range of numbers, the number of replications and other variables.

Five Project Applets:

Applet Description
Euler Number In this applet allows you to decide how many digits of e you'd like to see and some other features, including a digit at a specific position.
Geogebra Approximation Geogebra has this nifty little tool that lets you test different numbers for n in the function to approximate e.
Random Number Generator While this applet alone doesn't apply directly to euler's number, it can be used to generate numbers for a 64 square chess board that will
help us estimate e.
Graph of Euler's Number You can explore the graph of Euler's number with this interactive tool from geogebra.
Checkerboard Code Here's an actual little applet for the chessboard estimation that I mentioned with the random number generator, but to be so real I have no
idea how it works quite yet.

Five Project Resources:

Title Type Description
Tiny Game Website The author of this blog cam up with a cool little game to get secondary students interested in Euler's number.
Euler's Number -Numberphile Youtube Video In this video he covers the history of Euler's number and where it originated from, but also why it's seen so
often today.
The Magic of
Euler's Number e
Website This article covers some of the history of e as well as why it's important in our world today.
Euler's Number is Irrational Song Youtube Video Here is a proof that Euler's number is irrational in song form.
Memorizing Euler's Number Website If you're really interested in memorizing Euler's number, you can use this website that will tell you how many
digits you got right and how long it takes you.
