How Mathematics Reveals Your Secret Number
My semester project is an interactive exploration of binary numbers. Participants secretly choose a whole number and identify which number cards contain their chosen number.
Each card represents a power of two. By interpreting the participant's YES and NO responses, the secret number can be determined using the mathematical ideas behind binary representation.
The project is designed to begin as a mathematical magic trick and then reveal the mathematics behind the trick, including powers of two, binary digits and number representation.
