Applet Collections
| Title | Description |
| APPLETMaths | This is an applet collection by Geogebra with a few geometry
based applets. Most seem to relate to investigations of angles, particularly angles in circles. |
| StatKey | This applet collection has several statistics applets
such as visualizing theoretical distributions. |
| Shodor Interactivate | This website has applets for a wide range of
topics including algebra, cryptography, fraction, graphs, and statistics. |
| Melbourne Applets | The collection also has applets for several categories.
The main categories appear to be Calculus, Discrete Math, Linear Algebra, and Statistics, though there also appear to be several
groups that are specific to certain classes at The University of Melbourne. |
| Larry Green's Applet Page | Most of
the apps no longer work because they were in Java, BUT there are few labeled "new" made with JavaScript and some are pretty neat. For
example, there's one to practice using the ideas of like terms, unlike terms, ditributing, combining like terms, and recognizing false
statements. |

| Rubik's Cube | This applet is essentially a digital rubik's cube.
It has a preset series of steps that the cube is automatically set to follow and you can move through the steps one-by one, but you can
also manipulate the cube manually, though it is a bit tedious to do so. It even has instructions for how to include it in a website!

Alternate Digital Rubik's cube | This applet is really cool because you can type the moves you want to perform as
commands in an entry bar below and it will perform them. This allows you to easily do any sequence of moves you want and to keep track of
those moves. This is an advantage over the one above which only seems to have one pre-programed sequence. The cube is also a lot more
visually appealing. This disadvantage of the applet above it that it doesn't have an obvious way to embed the applet into another site.

| This applet has several variations of cubes, such as different color patterns or larger sizes. However, it's a bit more finicky
to use. |
| Twisty Polyhedra | This has Rubik's "cubes" in variation
shapes. |
| Geogebra Rubik's Cube Applet | This applet is completely controlled
by buttons on the side panel which is helpful because is some applets you have to click and drag which often makes it difficult to keep
consistent orientation. It also has the option to pull up a solution guide which could be potentially helpful. However, the animation is
not nearly as good as the other applets. |

of mathmatical principles involved in solving a Rubik's cube from a group theory approach. This is excellent for people with some
background in mathematics and group theory. |
| Using Rubik's Cubes to Teach Math | This is
a great, easisly approachable article exploring some ways that Rubik's Cubes can be used to teach mathematics without needing to get into
the actual algorithms or where they come from. |

| This is a great video using the Rubik's cube, but focusing on possible combinations rather than how to actually solve it. This
doesn't require a high level of mathematical background. |
| The trick that solves Rubik's Cubes and breaks ciphers |
This video explores a graph theory approach to finding the fewest number of steps to solve a rubik's cube using a computer and also
connects the idea to ciphers. |
| Using maths to solve the Rubik's Cube | This is a video
of a mathemetician giving a talk about how to use math to solve the Rubik's cube. Since his talk is aimed at a general audience,
it's not overly complicated, but the talk is about 20 minutes which is a bit longer than the other videos. |
