Ada Lovelace

The First Computer Programmer

Inventions across time are viewed as life changing…

From the wheel, to the printing press, to sliced bread, we have come to appreciate different genius ideas because of the improvements they have brought to our lives.

The computerized world we live in now would have been incomprehensible to our parents back before the internet was thought of. Even the reality of a simple calculating machine was crazy-talk until it was invented. All of this computerized genius had to begin somewhere. A big component to the technological wonderland that we live in today is a woman named Ada Lovelace.

In short, Ada Lovelace wrote the first computer program about 100 years before the first computer was ever built. I wanted to know more about who she was and what she must have done to be able to visualize something that was so beyond her time. And so I learned more.
