Title	Description
Mathematics Education Applets	This is a collection of applets ranging from K12 to college level math. They are organized by level and topic.
Manipula Math with Java	These is a collection of applets ranging from K12 to college level math. These are organized by the grade level and by topic.
Math Software	This is a collection of applets for the math subject of Calculus. They are organized by topic.
Interactive Math Activities	A collection of applets dealing with arithmetic, geometry, calculus, and more. It is organized by subject and branches of mathematics.
Mathlets: Java Applets for Math Explorations	This is a collectioin of applets for Precalculus and Calculus math. It is organized by level of math and topic.

Applets

Title	Description
Point Plotter	This applet has a plotted x and y axis that you can practice pointing plots on the grid.
Transformation - Reflection	An applet that represents the transformation reflection property with different shapes.
Differences	An applet that uses a puzzle to create a fun game in which figuring out differences are used to solve it.
Adding Fractions	An applet that uses squares to help understand the process of adding fractions.
Multiplication	An applet that uses a visual graph to help understand multiplication.

Internet Resources

Title	Description	Explanation
Math Is Fun	It is a site that has anything from worksheets, games, and activities, to learning about terms and equations in algebra and geometry.	This would be a fun site for kids to explore during class and an excellent outside resource for them if they need help at home. It is organized in another way so it may help other kids make the connections if they didn't get it the first time.
IXL Math and English	This site has math from Pre-K to K12 organized by grade level. Within each grade level, it is broken down into subjects and topics that have practice problems that can be worked on. If an answer is wrong, it gives an good step by step explanation why the answer is wrong.	This site would be great for students who are struggling in class to go and get more help and practice with problems they are struggling with. It would also be a great site to incorporate into a game to use in the classroom.
Mathematical Resources on the Web	This is a site full of journals, other web pages, and pedagogy resources to help and learn more about math and teaching math.	Just a great site to explore and read material to continue to build my own pedagogy for teaching and get more help and ideas on teaching math.
Everyday Mathematics	Has links for parents to learn about everyday mathematics and for them to learn how to help their children with math. It also has a link for students to games, activities, and more help with math subjects.	Would be a great site to give to parents so they can also get involved and know where to get help for them to learn how to help their children with math.
Free Math Help	A site that has been broken down into math subjects with each have text and video lessons on topics.	Just another great resource for students to read, watch, and get another way of explanation for math they are learning.
Math TV	A website that has basic math to calculus with videos that help with problems and show how they are solved.	A good site for students to go and watch how problems are solved. Students need to have a good understanding of mathematical concepts in order to make this useful. I could use this in the classroom setting and quiz students on why the steps they take work.
Thatquiz	A website full of quizzes from basic to calculus level math.	Would be a great site to use to give quizzes to students either at home or in the classroom.
Math Playground	A website full of math games.	Would be a great site for students to go and play games that get them thinking and using their brains to solve problems using math. Could give this to students to do if they have extra time to class after finishing homework, etc.
Brightstorm	A website full of math teaching videos on topics from algebra to calculus.	A great website for students to go to for more help. Could also incorporate into lesson plans for an interactive media.
School House Technologies	A website that can help teachers create worksheets for the classroom.	Will help me create easy to follow worksheets in half the time so I can focus on my teaching and less time wondering how I will check for understanding from my students.

The Sine Function

Title	Description	Explanation
Unit Circle for Sine and Cosine	This is a sketch that shows the relationship between the unit circle and the sine and cosine function.	It is interesting to see that the unit circle definition relates to sine and cosine by mapping their graphs.
Pythagoras	This is an animated sketch that shows the Pythagorean Theorem.	It is interesting to see the two areas of the smaller squares equal the larger square.
Quadratic Equation Exploration	This is a sketch that you can move sliders that change the coefficients in the Quadratic Equation and see how they change the graph.	I like the visual of seeing how changing the coefficients effects the graph. I also like how you can change only one or all the coefficients.
Slopes of Perpendicular Lines	An applet that leads to the understanding of the slopes of perpendicular lines.	I like this because you have to have an understanding of what it means to be perpendicular and you have to do the work in order to get to the answer.
Area Under the Curve	An applet that shows you the different ways of calculating the area under of the curve.	I like this has a good visual to the different ways to estimate the area under the curve and which one is more accurate over another. You can also see which one is an over estimation and under estimation.
