Transformations
This applet allows students to explore transformations, including rotations, reflections, and translations.
This applet is interesting because it's an easy way to see how transformations work.
Sine and Cosine Functions
This applet allows students to explore the functions f(x)=acos(bx+c)+d and g(x)=asin(bx+c)+d to see how a, b, c, and d affect the graph.
This is interesting becuase it allows students to explore and see how the graph is affected by different values in different positions.
Area Under a Curve
This applet allows students to see the area under a curve modeled with rectangles from the left and from the right.
This is interesting because it's easier to show how changing the number of rectangles and the width of rectangles can allow for a better approximation of area.
Unit Circle
This applet shows how the unit circle relates to the trigonometric functions and their graphs.
This shows the unit circle and the graphs of trig functions in close proximity which makes it easier to see how they relate to each other.
Slope
This applet allows students to change the y intercept and the slope of either one or two lines and shows the slope-intercept equation of the line.
This is interesting because students can explore slopes and see when two lines are parallel or perpendicular and compare the slopes.
