This site has tons of resources; I was really surprised at how many links it has to other websites for resources in all kinds of topics. It has two sections, one is links other websites. Some of the links are applets, games for kids to play, problems of the day, or forms for teacher. The other section is of Lesson Plans and activities. A lot of these links are lesson plans on different subjects, they all looks really fun too. There is a Jeopardy Math game that has objectives, activities, and the procedures to play the game; the game teaches the students how to solve problems both by themselves and in groups, along with having the opportunity to see how others would solve a problem.

My favorite thing about this site is the teacher discussion page, I really like hearing other people’s ideas on how they taught subjects or ideas. It think it will be a great resource for me when I am teaching to be able to have all different ideas coming from all over the United States to teach all students. This site also has a Professional Development link. I like the chance that I still have to go to classes after I’m done with my degree.

This site was more of an education site and not a specific Math Education site, but I would still use it in my teaching career because it has some good links. One link that I liked was the Grants and Events, I learned from Math 4500 that you can receive grants that will allow you to buy things for your classroom that will help your students learn in more diverse ways. It also has a classroom management link that is interesting. It gives you ideas on how to help your students understand what the climate of my classroom will be. It has a link on how to involve the students in creating classroom rules at the beginning of the year.

This site has tons of good stuff; it has “Daily Lesson Plans, worksheets, puzzles, and more.” I really didn’t know that so many resources where out there. It also has seasonal items with lessons plan ideas for each month. It has collaboration projects for students, where I can involve students in the curriculum and using technology. One link that I could really use in a classroom is the Thematic Unit, it has over 50 different topics with links of information on the topic and lesson ideas of each one. One example is Chocolate, it has tons of links that talk and explain about chocolate then there are lesson plan ideas that you can do to help involve all students in the lecture.

This site is put out by NCTM and is excellent for involving families in their students learning. I think it is specifically designed for families on how to help their students in Math with homework and school in general. It has a list of books that families can read together along with questions that you can ask while reading it that involves mathematics. They also have challenge questions that you can try to figure out then find out the answer, where parents and students can work together. And it also has the website in Spanish.
