Exponential Growth

I created this in relation to the book "One Grain of Rice" by Demi. As you go through this applet notice that the shape of the curves are basically the same, one is just shifted.

Sorry, the GeoGebra Applet could not be started. Please make sure that Java 1.4.2 (or later) is installed and active in your browser (Click here to install Java now)

Notice that the book starts the growth at the 1, and not at 0, so just having the function f(x)=2^x won't give you the number of grains of rice that she got each day. So you would have to write the function g(x)=2^(x-1), which is the same as g(x)=(1/2)(2^x).
