Ratios and Properties of Similar Triangles

This applet is intended to be used as an aid in understanding ratios and proportions as well as developing a greater understanding of the properties of similar triangles.

Instructions:
To change the ratio between Triangle R and Triangle R’, move the slider “r.”
To change the ratio between Triangle P and Triangle P’, move the slider “p.”
To show or hide the angles, click on the check box “Show Angles.”
To show or hide the lengths of the triangle sides, click on the check box “Show Side Lengths.”
To change Triangle P, move point F, G or E around.
