Welcome to Maya's math page! My name is Maya Parker and I am currently a Mathematics Education student at USU with asperations to be a teacher. I have 2 semesters left of school and then I will be doing my student teaching next fall. I started really liking math when I was in middle school and have loved it ever since. The thing that I love most about it is the problem solving element. It's like every math problem is a puzzle and you consistently learn new ways to solve them.
I live in Logan now, but I am originally from Heber City, Utah. After graduating high school I went to school up here for a year and then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in upstate New York and the Dominican Republic. After returning I came back to Utah State because it is the best place ever! When I'm not doing math I enjoy playing pickleball, practicing the guitar, running, hanging out with friends, reading, and traveling.
