When we hear the word triangle, usually we start to envision a three-sided shape. Then, those of us who remember algebra from high school might even start thinking about right triangles in particular. Thoughts of sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent may enter your mind. These triangular relationships are numerous and sometimes overwhelming. Maybe if your mind didn't travel to high school math right away, it might have traveled to a boring Saturday afternoon when you attempted to stack playing cards in a triangle tower, or maybe you found yourself stacking cups and trying to take them down as quickly as possible. If you played in the band, you might envision a triangle that when hit with precision adds to a beautiful melody. Pascal's Triangle is like no other triangle you have ever encountered. It is constructed with simple addition, not even using the Pythagorean Theorem. The triangle was created before most of the relationships and patterns were found and could still have more relationships and patterns than what we know today.
