Assignment 1 - Applets to Use as Teacher
Assignment 3 - Upper and Lower Sum Applet
Assignment 4 - Original Applet
Assignment 5 - Normal Approximation to the Binomial
Title | Description |
Right Similiar Triangles | An applet that allows the user to manipluate a right triangle in order to discover the properites of the lengths of the sides with regard to the length of the line from the right angle to the opposite line |
Interactive Area of a Circle | An applet that allows for the manipulation of a circle and its radius to discover the properites of the area of a circle |
Interactive Circumference of a Circle | An applet that allows for the manipulation if a circle and its radius to discover the properites of the circumferece of a circle |
Quadatric Formula Calculator | A calculator that allows the user to plug in numbers for the quadratic equation and solve it for them. The applet will then graph the resulting answers for the user. |
Long Division Caculator | A simple applet that shows the user how long division would be carried out. |
Title | Description |
Base Ten Blocks | An applet that demonstrates the basics of base 10 counting |
Base Ten Blocks (Geogebra) | Another applet that allows for the visualisation of the base 10 number system |
Division by an Order of Ten | An applet that demonstrates how dividing by a power of ten affects a number |
Subtraction Bases 2 through 10 | An applet that demonstrates subtraction with a number system from base 2 to base 10 |
Ten Frame | An applet the assists user in thinking of numbers with 10 as a main frame of reference |
Instructions:
Manipulate Points E, D, and F to manipulate the plane on the two cones to see the different intersections that are made.
1. What shapes can you make with these intersections?
2. What are some of the requirements to make certain of those shapes?
3. How does that apply to what you have learned all ready?
Explore how upper and lower sums work with different functions. Input your own functions, move the slider to change the number of rectangles, slide the points to change the area being affected, and turn on or off specific areas.
This applet will allow you to see how Base 10 numbers are represented in other Base Number Systems. For "Representing Base 10 Numbers in other Bases," enter a Base 10 number into the first input box and the number base system you'd like to see that number expressed in.
For "Representing Numbers from other Base Systems in Base 10," put a number and a base in and the applet will show what that number would be in Base 10. Careful, as some numbers won't work in some number bases.
For "Adding Number in Other Bases" and "Multiplying Number in Other Bases," input two Base 10 numbers, the base number system you'd like your answer to end up in, and the applet will show how two base 10 numbers will be added or multiplied in the base number system of your choosing.
