Significance
Graph theory has a huge impact on a lot of different areas of expertise. This you will see as you investigate and explore the Applications section.
The main reason that graph theory has a huge significance is because of its many, many uses. It is used as a way to model relationships between objects. Using graphs to model these
relationships allows experts to view or see connections they may not have seen if they hadn't used graphs. It helps some to be able to date certain objects by using interval graphs.
As the years have gone by graph theory has become increasingly significant because of its many applications (Pirzada, 2007)
. As the Internet, cellphones, and
other type of telecommunication have become more widespread, graph theory becomes increasingly important. This is because of the need to figure out how to most effectively and quickly

Graph theory is also significant because it has helped mathematicians, scientists, and other professionals to prove things that they have not been able to solve with out graph theory.
Many proofs of theorems and other concepts are proven using graphs. Some of these problems have been around a long time, but were not able to be solved without graphs. We saw a little
bit of this in the development section of our historical background and development.
