I'm a doctoral student at Utah State University. I come from the beautiful city of Saint George, Utah. When I'm not learning new mathematics or trying to improve my mathematics teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, camping, hiking, mountain biking, scuba diving, playing video games, and reading epic fantasy and science-fiction novels.
On the Assignments page you can find a number of resources for improving the teaching of mathematics by integrating technology into the learning experience of the students. The focus for this web page is on exploring linear transformations of vector spaces. You will find a number of applets intended to engage students in discovery and exploration of the concept of linear mappings, primarily from the perspective of visualization.
This is where I will describe what the "Semester Project" page is all about. I'm not completely sure what it will entail at this point.
