Geometry & Billiards

Billiards is a game that is generally played in bars and clubs and occasionally in households. However, there is more to billiards than just a game of hitting balls in holes with a stick. Mathematics, and more precisely geometry, is subtly used with every stroke of the cue stick. ANGLES!!! Whenever a ball bounces off a wall of the billiard table...MATH! Whenever a ball hits another ball...MATH! Math, Geometry, and Physics is engrained in the game. A knowledge of such concepts can help improve anyone's game.
