Applets I have created
Applet collections
- Shodor
This collection has a wide variety of different types of applets, from geometry to algebra.
There are a couple that have been revisited and updated, so they are always trying to improve
the site and collection. Several use the concept of fractals and tessalations, but there are
more that deal with other topics.
- Walter Fendt's really bright Applet Collection
Don't be fooled by the bright colors of this collection. There are alot of different
applets in this collection. They also seem to focus on geometry concepts. So, if you
are looking for geometry applets look in this collection first.
- Mr. Perez's Applet Collection
I like this collection because each applet displays lots of text within the applet. Some text
is the instructions to the applet and other times the text is instruction about the content.
There are several different subjects from the core curriculm covered by this collection and they are all
indicated by the tabs at the top of the page.
- St. Louis University's Collection
This site has a lot of applets involving a lot of basic college mathematics topics (e.g. Geometry, and College Algebra).
I found this one interesting because they give a lot of instruction in the directions of the applet.
So, this would be good to use as homework or further instruction.
- IES Math Manipula
There are about 200 applets in this collection. Most of them revolve around geometry and there are few on algebra topics, but
all in all they are pretty nice. They seem basic but they give a lot of directions. I would be interested to see how I would
involve these applet in my lesson.
