Links to Libraries of Math-Applets:
- National Library of Virtual Manipulatives is a virtual library of uniquely interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives or concept tutorials,
mostly in the form of Java-applets for mathematics instruction. It can help students visualize relationships and applications.
It includes exciting new approaches to interactive mathematical instruction.
- Delta College Library of Math Applets is full of different applets available for usages in the subjects finite math, statistics, trigonometry,
algebra, elementary mathematics, and more.
- Explore Learning is a subscription-based website that has mathematics resources for grades 3-12 and beyond. Gizmos are provided that
interactively help students learn different concepts and practice skills.
- Illuminations is a website containing 104 online activities available for teaching mathematics for grades K-12.
- Project Interactivate goals include the creation, collection, evaluation, and dissemination of java-based courseware for middle school mathematics explorations.
"Interactivated" lessons, discussions, and activities enable the teacher to extend hands-on activities and to teach new content areas incorporating technology
in appropriate ways.

Links to Math-Applets Related to the Pythagorean Theorem:
- In Pythagorean Puzzles , the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives uses a demonstration of filling in the white region of two polygons with either right triangles or squares.
- Pythagorean Theorem Activity let's users explore the Pythagorean Theorem using a dynamic right triangle. Examine a visual, geometric application of the Pythagorean Theorem, using the areas of squares on the sides
of the triangle.
- Squares on a Triangle is a tool that can be used to explore the relationsip between the Pythagorean Theorem and the Law of Cosines. By considering the "defects" that occur when
the angle is obtuse or acute, instead of right, the user can develop an inuitive understanding of the Law of Cosines.
- Shape Builder allows the user to explore area and perimeter by either allowing the computer to randomly draw a shape on a grid or allowing the user to build the
shape on the grid.
- Pythagoras Theorem provides the tools to visually see how the relationships in the Pythagorean Theorem are in fact true.

Other Math Resources:
- Math is Fun! is a website that is available for teachers to use to show 3D shapes, in particular for this link, pyramids.
- These Worksheets offer tons of ready-made worksheets for teachers to use.
- Teaching Ideas provides descriptions for many many different games available for use to teach math.
- Time 4 Learning offers different lessons that can be done by students at home, after-school, or in the summer to get extra practice. It would be useful to offer this extra practice to students.
- This page of Teaching Strategies
has quite a few different things on it that a teacher can use for lesson ideas, worksheets, and ideas for assessments.
